BRAVELY ONWARD.

Two words that changed a bank.

In my role as Creative Director, I had the opportunity to work alongside the Fidelity Bank team for nearly a decade in developing the marketing and creative work for the highly-successful and powerful brand-building platform Bravely Onward. A decade is a long time so this page is a collection of the high points of the immense volume of creative work we produced over that time.

JFK & the power of patriotism.

With an upcoming election looming on the horizon and the increasing anxiety of polarization in all areas of life we wanted to create a campaign that tapped into a deeper sense of shared ownership for our collective futures. The powerfully relevant words from John F. Kennedy’s Inauguration speech was perfect for this messaging while also tapping into the history and sense of patriotism at the heart of our communication strategy. The pivot to connecting that same patriotic spirit to how we choose to live out our lives today and specifically how we put that idea to work in our community brought the message home and connected it to the brand of Fidelity Bank.

Creating connections to community.

Part of our strategy with the rollout of this campaign was to utilize five different edits of the TV spot and creative that each featured different combinations of everday Wichitans and well-known local business, cultural and sports personalities.

Short film: Perspectives

We extended this connection to the community further with a short film title “Perspectives” that combined the perspectives of local personalities featured in the TV spots into a broader statement of optimism and hope for our community. We again anchored it back to the Fidelity brand by ending with unscripted moments from the President & CEO of the bank Aaron Bastian.

Talk businessy.

It’s not a typo. For this commercial lending brand campaign we wanted to help raise the profile of the Fidelity Bank brand to "those guys mean business” with real business folks by you guessed it, speaking their language. Talk the talk AND walk the walk - if you will.
